Our Barbet Females

Phoebe is co-owned with Lise Pomeroy and shares her home with her grand-dam Ellie. She is the perfect mix of sweetness and fun.  This lucky pup, enjoys an active lifestyle with her owners and is a terrific companion on camping trips and day hikes. She even likes shopping and will often accompany her owners on errands to stores. 

She has a very pleasing expression with a beautiful, round and broad head. Her white and chestnut brown coat is covered in thick, looser curls. Phoebe has a well developed chest and balanced, correct angulation.  She quickly finished her CKC Championship in early 2022.

In September 2023 Phoebe passed the required health testing for the breed.  We are thrilled that she is able to join our breeding program.

Kamea is a little imp who's silly antics often make her owners laugh.  As a young puppy she captured our hearts from very early on and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to co-own her with our friend Tracey.  A clownish Barbet, she is sweet and loving and she enjoys it immensely when she gets together to play with her Barbet cousins Frenchie and Rizzo.  A super fast and athletic dog, she loves retrieving and spending time at the family cottage where she gets to go boating and swimming to her hearts content.  In November 2023 Kamea earned her Canine Good Neighbour title. 

Her first litter was born on March 29,  2023 sired by GCHS Treebeard's Open the Pod Doors and we are delighted with the updates we are receiving from the owners of her pretty puppies. One of her puppies has already obtained their CKC Championship. On February 11th, 2024 we welcomed Kamea's second litter which was sired by GCH Patronum Circumrota Parzival First To The Key. We are every so happy with the puppies and look forward to watching them grow up.

Maya is a new addition to our Northrock family. In May 2023 we travelled to Quebec to bring back a pretty female puppy from Patronum Barbets.  Maya is loved and cared for by our friends JoAnne and Brian. In November 2023 she quickly earned her CKC conformation championship and we are delighted with her beautiful breed type and effortless movement.  We love this young dog, she is such a sweetheart and makes friends with everyone she meets. Thank you as well to her breeders Anne-Marie Gauvin and David Harvey for raising such a lovely Barbet. We are hopeful that in time she will be able to join our breeding program. 

I fell for this sweet, pretty Barbet puppy from the minute she was born.  As the weeks went by it was clear that she would be staying on as our keeper from our Billy and Lexi litter.  Sired by Dutch champion, Nuphar's Everything Zen - we are ever so thankful for the science that allowed us to import frozen semen for this special breeding.  Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Billy's owner Olav van Schie and his breeder Anne Plomp for their friendship and co-operation in making this litter a reality. 

In the early spring of 2018, Gracie very quickly earned her CKC championship. Not just a pretty face she also has her Canine Good Neighbour and Advanced Trick Dog titles to her credit.  

Gracie has such lovely breed type; a beautiful head, correct tail set, nice substance and a wonderful coat are some of her attributes. Her gentle personality has us all smitten with her.  We love how she will happily roll over for belly rubs and enjoys crawling up into our laps for a cuddle. She has a fun and friendly personality and I am looking forward to the adventures we will have together.

On December 8, 2019 Gracie's first litter of nine beautiful Barbet puppies was born sired by GCH Polnareff vom Zulimo.  On October 26, 2020 Gracie whelped her second litter and we and welcomed ten wonderful puppies by GCH Barbevoix Oscar De Northrock CGN into the world.  Gracie's third litter, a sweet singleton sired by CH Northrock's Jedi At Patronum was born on March 18, 2022.  As our Northrock family continues to grow we are enjoying supporting the families who brought one of Gracie's puppies home and we share in their delight as their young Barbets grow and develop.
